Bloodstone Elf Carving

Carved in China, this listing is for a bloodstone elf. Fine featured, the bloodstone used in this elf head has big, rich deposits of red and translucence. Bloodstone is a variety of prase (dark green/greenish-blue chalcedony or jasper), with small red blood-like spot and is also called heliotrope. Beautifully done, elven are known for longevity, animal affinity and communication, stealth, magical and shape shifting mastery.

Bloodstone has been used in amulets to protect against evil and was considered a symbol of justice. It stands for protection and safety on the grounds that you are worthy, and it is just. One of the rarer mineral types that resonates with grounding and with the heart, bloodstone is often used for heart health and the heart is sometimes where we store the information that we are or are not worthy. Bloodstone is comforting, grounding and bolsters our belief in ourselves. There is a legend from antiquity that bloodstone formed from the blood of christ dripping into the green earth.
